SHARK CLUB REMINDER & POLICY (weekend play)

Tiburon Golf Club Men’s Member Weekend SHARKS which includes TIB CUP PLAY

begins Saturday April 30th. All Members wanting to play Sharks and/or Tib Cup should be

registered for that League/Event and have loaded the Golf Genius App. prior to this weekend.

 

Sign Ups for weekend play will be open on the PORTAL starting 7am on Tuesdays and closes at 11am Fridays.

When confirming your request to play VIA PORTAL, please make sure to TALK TO THE PEOPLE PRIOR AND DON’T ASSUME before adding other players!

There is an option to add another member or members (up to 3) to your request and also send a message to the Shark Manager. This message can also be sent AFTER you've already signed up for play (fyi). You can also add 1 (one) Guest only.

Note: Guests are considered playing 3 or less times per season.

 

The “Scheduler” will do their best to fulfill all requests, but there are no guarantees.

The Tee Time schedule and weekend games will be available on the PORTAL by approximately 3pm Fridays before weekend play.

 

AFTER 11AM FRIDAY, THERE WILL BE NO MORE SIGNUPS!!!! NO QUESTIONS ASKED!

DO NOT expect to jump in with a group, to create a 5-some or to just show up to play. You must be scheduled to play via the Portal Tee Sheet or you are considered NOT PLAYING. Bottom line; you need to SIGN UP ON TIME !

This is imperative in order for the software to work properly.

 

PLEASE BE EARLY AND ALWAYS CHECK WITH THE PRO SHOP!

TALK WITH YOUR GROUP ASSURING YOU HAVE PROPER Golf Genius SCORECARD

with your groups GGID to access 'LIVE SCORING'.

THE FIRST PLAYER LISTED FOR YOUR GROUP IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CARD AND LIVE SCORING.

 

BE AWARE AND CONSIDERATE OF YOUR PACE OF PLAY!

 

* All GHIN Hdcps will be real time and updated the Friday before Sharks Play.

  (this may not be the case for member 2 day events - same hdcp will hold for the multiple days - subject to change).

 

  IMPORTANT:

When playing in our Sharks weekend event, we will again be playing from any of 3 tee boxes - gold, black or silver.

YOU MUST PLAY THE SAME TEE BOX THE ENTIRE YEAR FOR SHARKS ONLY!!

 

 

 

* There will only be ONE SCORECARD to fill out for BOTH the SHARK game

   and the TIB CUP score. This considered a combined scorecard.

   Your groups Scorecard will be in Pro Shop with YOUR Tee Time on it to pick up.

   Your groups scorecard will have a GGID code to enter on to GG App for on course live scoring.

   Scorecard MUST be COMPLETED, SIGNED and turned in to the PRO SHOP within 1 hour after play is completed.

   2 Signatures. The MARKER (who kept scores) and PLAYER (another TC player).

The first player listed in your group is RESPONSIBLE for the card and Portal scoring.

           

* Completed Scorecards must be turned in to the Pro Shop Staff to be OFFICIAL!

 

  Any Scorecard not in the possession of the Pro Shop Staff 1HR following play

  will be considered lost and void for that days Shark game and Tib Cup score.

 

 

* Shark results showing during/after play are 'UNOFFICIAL' until cards are verified.

  Official results will be posted within 24hrs after play. At that time the 'PLAYER PURSE SUMMARY' will show on portal leaderboard.

 

* The PORTAL will also have all the Tee Times, pairings, Hdcp by course, updated standings, results, analytics etc...

  Just navigate the sections to display your needs. Tiburon Pro Shop and League Managers can assist you in using these features.
 

* Entry for Shark game (all Members MUST play) is $5 before play in Pro Shop.

    We will be doing credit book for Sharks this year. Your account will be charged $5 when you check in for play.

   Again, $1 of each entry will go in to the FUN DAY pot.

   All Tib Cup and Shark play MUST be played within the Shark/TC posted Tee Time slots for that day of play.

                   

* REFUNDS (weather) - No refunds if all players complete 9 holes. In the event only 9

  Holes are completed by all players, game will be a 9 hole Low Net game. TB=SC Net.

  Odd Hdcps will get half (ie; 9 = 4.5) to help tiebreakers. TIB CUP ROUNDS MUST BE 18Holes or cancelled 

  for that days play.

 

* Each Member is allowed to bring a maximum of 1 Guest but only

  if room to play, and a maximum of that same guest, a total of 3 times in the 2022 season.

  If they would like to join and play regularly, have them contact the Pro Shop for Membership information.

  Members have priority & may fill all slots. This allows at least

  2 Tib Cup Players per group. Signups may be adjusted to fill needed TC slots.

  A GUEST is defined as one that may play in Sharks up to 3 times throughout the

  Year (not regular) and will not be allowed to play in the $5 game.

 

* 5-Somes will be allowed based on Pro Shop Staff observed pace-of-play (who),

  and in no instance will be allowed in the last 2 groups.           

 

* Pro Shop or Manager will send a text message for any important course info such as;

  lift-clean-place, frost delays etc....
